I am so grateful to you for working with us. This has not been easy. Me and 7 kids going across country is crazy. So I am thankful to you for working with my finances I would not have been able to do this without your help. It is going to be tight for us money wise but now at least we know we are going to make it thanks to you. I had a very good experience moving across the country with MoveAmerica. Everyone I spoke with was very personable, we were in constant communication via email and phone. Moving halfway across the country is expensive, and my only advice is when you reserve your space, aim to fill a little less than what you estimate you'll use. The wood divider placed in takes up a few extra inches, so it may appear you took up more space when measured by the driver. Hence while being present is important when your trailer arrives! We reserved 10 feet, measured just under 10 feet, but the driver measured just over. If we weren't present, we would've gotten charged for extra. Our items arrived relatively safe on time, and we were given plenty of time to unload. There are positive and negative things about all moving companies out there, but I had nothing but a good experience with MoveAmerica.

We were very pleased with our moving experience using MoveAmerica. After searching several online sites we chose to call MoveAmerica because of the rates and ability to change the amount of space utilized, if needed, during the packing. Scott customized our arrangements. He answered all the questions we had and made the appropriate recommendations to fit our needs. He was very knowledgable and helped guide us by asking the right questions to determine our needs.Lauren handled the logistics like a pro. Her patience and professionalism was very much appreciated. I used MoveAmerica to move cross-country and was completely satisfied. I could call any time to ask questions and everyone was very helpful (I even happened to get the company owner once, and he was great!). Everything was easy to schedule and on time when promised. During the move, they send daily emails with an update on your trailer's progress. They called me to authorize each payment (you pay half up front and half when your shipment arrives at its destination terminal). I would definitely use MoveAmerica again and have already recommended it to friends.

This is the first time that I have used MoveAmerica and also the first time I have attempted a "self-loaded" move. My original move to Massachusetts, 6 years ago, by a national moving company was over $11,000. and ended up being a nightmare in the end. So this time I was a little hesitant -- but after speaking to Howard I was confident that MoveAmerica was professional and held themselves to high standards. I originally scheduled my move in a single 28 foot trailer. Everything seemed to be going just as planned - until we got to the end of loading the trailer and found that we needed just a few more feet. I called Howard in a panic and he qiuckly calmed me down and scheduled another trailer to be delivered the very next morning. I wasn't sure how much room I would need and Howard said to just give him an estimate and he would send an empty 28 foot trailer and I would only be charged for the actual space that was used. That sounded more than fair to me and I told Howard I thougt I would need 3 or 4 feet. The next morning a driver showed up with an additional 28 foot trailer. He had to do some juggling - by parking the empty trailer down the street in a cul-de-sac and then picking up my fully loaded trailer, and then dropping it in the cul-de-sac and then hooking up the empty trailer and parking it in my driveway, he then drove down the street to the fully loaded trailer and hooked up and took it away. The fully loaded trailer was taken to Connecticut and from there taken to a facility in Chicago to remain in storage for 30 days until our new home is ready to move into. I then proceeded to load the 2nd trailer. I soon discovered that I would need closer to 6 feet of room for my additional items. I completed my loading, called Howard for a pick up and the 2nd trailer was picked up the very next morning by the same driver as the 1st trailer. The driver measured the space and confirmed it at 6 feet. Off it went to Connecticut to then was driven to Chicago. The 2nd trailer, however, would not be going to storage - but would be delivered to my parents house and unloaded into their garage until my new home is ready. I didn't need to have it stored - since the items would all fit in my parents garage. Today I received a call from Howard to schedule the delivery of my 2nd trailer to be unloaded into my parents garage. My delivery is scheduled for tomorrow evening between 6-8 pm. I will post another review after the delivery tomorrow. I am also looking forward to a flawless delivery of my 1st trailer next month when our house is ready. I will then post a final review to let everyone know how things went with the fully loaded trailer. Read less

I had been calling several "Moving Companies" that I found via the internet for quotes for our intended move halfway across the country. From Washington State to Arizona. When I called PODS and U-Pack, I was astounded at the prices I was quoted.When I looked further I found MoveAmerica because their ad said, "Compare Us to ****".So, I did. Since I already knew about how much square footage I would need in the unit, I was pretty confident I would prefer less room rather than more.PODS could only rent me their largest POD for the city we were moving to, which would have been way too large.After several phone calls and talking to Lauren, I decided that we would contract with MoveAmerica to complete the job.

The instructions for loading the PUP were very clear and helpful.

We were trying to avoid what could have been a lot of snow in the mountains along the way, so it was great to be able to request the truck on Friday. Originally we thought it would take us all weekend. But, the truck was delivered on Friday afternoon and we had it almost 90% full by Friday night.

So, I called back on Friday and asked that the PUP be picked up on Monday instead of Tuesday. The driver was back on Monday morning, installed the partition and was on his way within minutes.What I really appreciated was how we received daily tracking information via E-mail to let us know where the truck was on the route. We actually lucked out and didn't experience any bad weather at all, even though we were traveling in the middle of January.

We arrived at our home two days later on Thursday morning at about 1:30am. I called the office for delivery at 9:00am and was pleased to have them tell me that it could be delivered to our home by 1:30pm that same afternoon!My husband and I had it all unpacked in 5 hours and we asked for it to be picked up the next day on Friday.

All in all this was very painless. A pleasure to work with MoveAmerica and your trucker. We will definitely recommend this company to anyone.

I was completely satisfied from start to finish with the information and service provided. I was apprehensive at first, but you were recommended by a good friend and I soon realized that I had nothing to worry about. I was especially worried moving from a large crowded city but everything went very smoothly. You said that you would deliver your trailer to the front of my apartment and that’s what you did. I would highly recommend your service to anyone who is moving and wants a cheaper and easier alternative to renting a truck and driving yourself If you don't mind loading the truck yourself, this is by far much cheaper easier. Everything that was advertised, was delivered by this company. I was charged exactly what I was quoted. I was sent daily emails telling me where the truck was at, in transit. All of the processes of this move went exactly as they told me it would, through email and over the phone. I have never commented on this site and very rarely on others, but I am writing this because my move from Idaho to Illinois went as smoothly as I could have imagine and, more importantly, EXACTLY like they said it would. Lastly, they worked with my schedule to have my truck delivered and picked up. I thought that I may need an extra day to unpack and they said that it would be no problem, nothing extra and to just call them one day later than originally anticipated. I feel bad for the other reviewers that had issues and I can only speak to the service that I received, but I had ABSOLUTELY no issues with this company and will ABSOLUTELY use this company for all future moves. At this point, my business is theirs to lose.

Working with MoveAmerica has been an excellent experience - one of the bright spots in relocating our household. Through all my encounters and lessons learned in moving, MoveAmerica is one of the good guys. Policies were open and clear. They, especially Lauren, were available for questions which made them feel more like a friendly local company. When we needed to extend our storage time, policies were openly discussed so that we knew costs and didn't have to sweat it. I was surprised at seeing the negative comments. Moving is a heck of a job. Unless you are paying a moving company the big bucks to do both the packing and loading, and insuring your stuff, you need to know how to pack and wrap everything properly with LOTS of padding to prepare for the jostling of the drive (ask any professional trucker/mover). This takes a lot of time, organization, and extra money for padding materials that you might not already own. My only advice to customers is to measure and tape the truck space carefully, and confirm the measurement with the driver prior to loading. The way the truck is built might easily confuse by a few inches what is included as actual space.We appreciated the quality of service for a reasonable price. MoveAmerica has been informative, fair, and prompt, not to mention friendly!

I loved working with this company! they were very friendly, prompt, helpful, and kind. i enjoyed talking to all of their staff who were fun and friendly every time. the trucking company they use was incredibly considerate and helpful. everything was on time, even early. They were straight up about possible fee's, they stick to their quote price and they had the best price i could find! the experience was so easy, this is the best way to move! my only complain for this company was the charge for changing the destination address, i informed them of the change a month before the move and i thought the charge for this change was a little steep, but any company would have charged for this change. and overall i really enjoyed my experience with this company. We were told about how important it was to measure out our space with a little extra room to avoid being charged extra fee's, we were very careful about this measuring and tapping a line about half a foot under the 5 feet we ordered as the company suggested and went over it with the driver who picked it up, measured and filled out our paper work. i believe like any company they will get money where they can but if you stick to their guidelines regarding the amount of space used then your move will be hassle and fee free. We have more moves coming up in the family and we will be using this company again. i would suggest that anyone who wants to save themselves from driving a big scary rental truck, to move with this company who do the hard work for you, are on time (even early), and always friendly! i had a great experience!

I used MoveAmerica for a move from PA to MN about 1200 miles. They showed up exactly on time with frequent calls to let me know when they would be making it in the timeframe. They also called as they were nearing drop off and almost got there one day early, but ended up just being right on the planned time. The drivers were courteous and helpful. We didn't end up going over the planned space so I can't speak to the charges, but the notes clearly give an amount for each additional foot of used space.I ended up having a billing problem but it was with Paypal and not with the moveamerica guys. I called them and they helped me fix the issue with paypal within about 2 hours.I see alot of complaining in these other reviews, but they all say they showed up on time. So my personal experience was on time, nice, helpful and even helped me solve a problem they didn't create.

I took my precautions and checked you out with the Better Business Bureau and by searching the various blacklists for movers. Everything checked out all right. Thank you for making our trip from Philadelphia to Tucson the least painful moving experience I have had to date. Before finding your Web site, I looked into the other options for transporting my belongings. U-Haul and its competitors quoted me a price for truck rental not to mention the expenses that I would have incurred on the road. Plus, I am not a great, or patient driver, and would not feel confident drive a truck over that distance. I’m happy to say that because I used your services I saved money and was able to travel comfortably to our new home. The trailer arrived exactly when you said and all our stuff was in perfect condition. I recommend your service without reservation.

My cross-country move is now complete. And I must say that I am impressed with MoveAmerica and the U-Load concept. I have moved 9 times in the last 8 years and have tried many different methods; including rental trucks and soup to nuts movers.
